Therapy approaches


You will spend around 20 minutes on the phone or on a video call with your therapist. They will briefly assess your difficulties and establish what you hope to get out of therapy.
To ensure our services are right for you, we may ask you to provide more information before we meet to make the most out of your appointment.
A therapy session is usually an hour. One session every week or two is most effective and generally mild to moderate difficulties can be treated in 8-12 sessions. More chronic, severe or complex problems may require longer.
The first few sessions will be spent gathering information and formulating an in depth understanding of your issue. This allows us to collaboratively develop a personalised treatment plan targeting the root causes, factors that might be maintaining your problem and barriers to change.
